Русская версияChina's official Xinhua news agency says a bomb attack in the
northwestern region of Xinjiang targeted a police station and
commercial buildings in the city of Kucha.
The agency said two
policemen were injured and five assailants were killed in the
incident. No independently confirmed information on casualties was
immediately available. An August 4 attack in predominantly Muslim
Xinjiang killed 16 policemen.
