Zimbabwean power-sharing talks between the government and
opposition are scheduled to resume later on Monday.
The talks,
mediated by South Africa, started on Sunday, with President Robert
Mugabe meeting opposition Movement for Democratic Change leader
Morgan Tsvangirai as well as the leader of a breakaway MDC faction.
The discussions are seen as the clearest sign yet that an agreement
is within reach. Negotiations began last month in the aftermath of
Mugabe's unopposed re-election in June, in a poll condemned
throughout the world and boycotted by Tsvangirai because of attacks
on his supporters.
