Zimbabwe's annual inflation jumped to 11.27 million percent in June
from the 2.2 million recorded in the previous month.
That's
according to figures released on Tuesday by the Central Statistical
Office (CSO) in Harare. Zimbabwe is already suffering chronic
shortages of food and fuel as a result of the economic turmoil.
Meanwhile there is no sign that Zimbabwe's ruling ZANU-PF party and
opposition Movement for Democratic Change have reached a
power-sharing deal to end the country's political crisis.
