Only one percent of children feel really unhappy.
Children's dissatisfaction is mainly caused by problems at school and in the family, according to the poll.
The poll focused on several areas.
Volunteer pollsters, who interviewed children, asked them about their shool environment, experience with harmful substances, watching television and the feeling of safety.
A total of 63 percent of the polled children say they feel happy almost constantly.
Forty-seven percent say their positive feelings are caused by their successes, and 45 percent feel happy if they can be with their friends.
The poll also shows that almost 70 percent of Czech children go to school to become educated.
A crushing majority of them also trust their parents, while they trust mothers slightly more than fathers.
Over one-half of children say they consider the approach to disabled kids just in the Czech Republic.
On the contrary, the polled regard behaviour towards children of different nationalities and ethnic groups the most unjust in Czech society.
Almost 80 percent of children say their friends or acquaintances have experience with cigarettes and 61 percent know someone of the same age who smokes regularly.
Almost 80 percent of children feel safe in their environment.
Over one-third of them also know someone among their friends and acquaintances who has fallen victim to crime, most often theft or robbery.
