Former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic has refused to enter a
plea at the UN's Yugoslav war crimes tribunal in The Hague.
The
63-year-old faces 11 charges of genocide, war crimes and crimes
against humanity committed during the war in Bosnia in the 1990s.
The court entered not guilty pleas on all counts on his behalf and
set the next hearing for September 17. The trial of the former
Bosnian Serb leader is expected to start next year. However, as
prosecutors intend to amend Karadzic's 11-count indictment there
could be further plea hearings, which would delay the start of the
trial.
